Camera Flyer X

Camera Flyer X is an application based, free, 3-month program - that offers mentoring, seminars and community to two ambitious camera flyers who already love to share the love of jumping and are hungry to learn from some of the industry’s most creative minds.

The search to find skydiving’s most ambitious up and coming camera flyers has begun. If you love to share the incredible things we do in our sport - and have already begun your journey towards becoming a professional camera flyer - perhaps this opportunity is for you.

What the mentorship includes

  • Finding your individual style – “What’s your funk?” – explore your unique visual voice

  • Debriefs on filmed material – review your jumps and discuss what worked and what didn’t

  • Support on edits – guidance to shape your footage into polished pieces

  • How to create value for sponsors and media – learn to make your work useful beyond just content

  • Speakers from the best free flying camera – insights from other camera flyers and industry thought leaders

  • Brainstorming and idea-making – collaborative sessions to generate concepts and approaches

  • Group meetings – share experiences and learn together as a cohort

  • Gear advice – tips for choosing and optimizing your equipment

After the program, you’ll…

  • …understand why a shot works, not just that it does – move from guessing to intentional shooting

  • …have a better ability to find an angle on your edit that you’re in tune with – develop your personal editing style

  • …communicate clearly with other jumpers about your role – be confident and reliable in freefall teamwork

  • …have processes and routines that facilitate your creativity – create structure that frees your creative flow


 
 

Just two applicants are accepted for the program. Requirements to apply:

  • A big interest in camera flying and filmmaking

  • Professional ambition

  • Minimum 750 jumps

  • Minimum 100 camera jumps

  • Your own camera gear and some skills in using it

  • Already edited and published videos

  • Can commit to the course

  • Applications must be made by the actual cameraflyer
